GNADENHUTTEN – LENDING SPECIALIST

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Employee will be required to work from the Gnadenhutten Branch during bank hours
  • Works until 8 pm on Mondays and/or Thursdays, plus covers for Indirect Specialist on PTO
  • Requires an NMLS registration
  • Originates, processes and underwrites consumer non-real estate loans  
  • Originates HELOC loan applications and gathers appropriate documentation
  • Receives consumer loan requests from indirect dealers
  • Originates direct consumer loan requests
  • Required visits to local businesses to generate loan volume weekly
  • Answers questions and collects documentation from commercial customers
  • Refers commercial business to the commercial lenders
  • Works well with the business development banker and goes on calls
  • Reviews request files for all necessary forms and information according to the regulations
  • Communicates with dealers to resolve any consumer application problems.
  • Communicates with legal counsel when handling trouble loans
  • Collects delinquent loans
  • Gathers information needed for the loan transaction, including payoffs, insurance, titles etc.
  • Provides loan data entry into the lending software and assembles documentation when necessary.
  • Ensures loan files contain documents with proper signatures, dates and other relevant data.
  • Assembles and verifies the accuracy of loan documentation prior to submitting loan package to loan clerk
  • Takes walk-ins for customers with loan requests
  • Works with loan support staff to complete loan documentation timely.
  • Uses office computers for data input for ordering credit reports, pulling files, NADA, photocopying, faxing/scanning documents and organizing and maintaining supplies.
  • Answers telephone
  • Cross markets companion products for consumer loan products and services as appropriate.
  • Prepares denials
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Good computer skills

  • Prompt, organized and efficient
  • Works well under stress
  • Ability to effectively work with colleagues on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently with established timeframes
