About the Role:

Since 1977, SPS Metals has been a national distributor of quality roofing, architectural sheet metal, and plumbing products for the professional contractor. We are a division of SPS Companies, Inc., a wholesale distributor of products and services for residential and commercial plumbing, mechanical and industrial piping, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and fire protection. We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team at our Denver, CO location. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing customer relationships in the Denver area. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • 2+ years of outside sales experience in the Wholesale Trade industry
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Metals industry
  • Experience communicating and interacting with contractors
  • Ability to travel up to 50-75% of the time

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals
  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships through regular communication and exceptional customer service
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely order fulfillment
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and potential threats

Skills:

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will utilize your strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with customers. You will also use your strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify new business opportunities and develop sales strategies to meet and exceed targets. In addition, you will leverage your knowledge of the industry and Colorado market to stay ahead of the competition and provide exceptional customer service. Finally, you will use your organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and ensure timely order fulfillment.

This is a full-time position. Shifts typically range from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. but vary on occasion. Salary Information

$40000.0 - $60000.0 Annual Salary
