Maintenance Technician with electrical experience for 2nd shift
Requirements:ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Make necessary repairs to production equipment through adjustment, repair or
replacement of mechanical and/or electrical components in a timely manner to
reduce equipment downtime.
· Test and adjust repaired systems for proper performance. When necessary,
read drawings, specifications, and manuals for assistance in repairs.
· Conduct preventive maintenance activities as assigned. Perform PMs and take
proper steps to correct deficiencies. Make recommendations to improve
equipment.
· Inspect motors, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, belts, bearings, and other
related components. Lubricate and grease bearing, shafts, chains and
equipment.
· Fabricate parts using various tools, machines and equipment.
· Basic welding and torch cutting for fabrication and repairs.
· Install, repair and maintain piping for water, pneumatics and hydraulics.
· Follow basic wiring diagrams, wire three phase motors and troubleshoot.
· Follow OSHA safety guidelines and work safely at all times
· Maintain a clean and safe work area.
PREFERRED SKILLS
· Two years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment as a
Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician or related field preferred. Vocational school
considered in lieu of experience.
· Must be a self-starter who can work with little supervision.
· Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, schematics,
operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.
· Experience with safety requirements including lockout/tag out.
