This position is covered by the McNamara-O’Hara Service Contract Act (SCA) and is subject to the applicable U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) wage determination. Compensation, fringe benefits, and applicable paid leave will be provided in accordance with the SCA wage determination incorporated into the governing federal contract. The minimum hourly wage and health & welfare fringe benefit rate are set by the DOL and may be adjusted in accordance with contract modifications or updated wage determinations.

Impact Summary:
The Material Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials and parts essential for production schedules and departmental needs. By managing and coordinating material logistics within and between departments, this position supports timely and efficient production operations and adherence to shipping schedules. This role directly contributes to minimizing production downtime and optimizing resource allocation, significantly impacting operational efficiency and project success.
Responsibilities:
· Review and analyze production schedules to determine material requirements and ensure the timely availability of materials.
· Coordinate with department supervisors to prioritize material distribution based on production and repair schedules.
· Update material status in the inventory management database. Scan and upload receiving documents (Purchase Orders, Certificates of Conformance, etc.) to designated network drives.
· Manage internal material transfers and oversee the delivery sequences to meet production demands.
· Manage excess inventory, including processing transfers to new projects or the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO).
· Monitor material specifications and quality upon delivery to production departments. Identify, quarantine, and report suspected counterfeit parts according to procedures.
· Fulfill "walk-in" parts requests for shop personnel, planners, and engineers.
· Act as the primary point of contact for all outbound shipments.
· Utilize manual or computerized systems to track material location and maintain perpetual production records.
· Assist in the annual review and improvement of the Material Handling Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
· Operate material handling equipment to transport materials between departments.
· Maintain and update material shortage lists for the procurement team.

· Excellent communication and coordination abilities to effectively work with multiple departments.
· Ability to analyze production schedules and material requirements.
· Familiarity with government/military supply systems and procedures such as MILSTRIP.
· Capable of handling multiple tasks and prioritizing duties under time constraints.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in material coordination or a similar role within a production or manufacturing environment.
· Must have a forklift certification or ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire.
· Must have working knowledge of government/military supply systems and procedures, including MILSTRIP.
· Familiarity with supply systems, programs, policies, and production nomenclature.
· Proficient in the use of adding machines and computerized or manual record-keeping systems.
· Must be a U.S. citizen and have a current US Security Clearance to the level of SECRET.
Salary Information:
The estimated salary range for this position will be $29.27-$39.00 per hour based on the successful candidates experience, qualifications, and skill set.
