BASIC PURPOSE OF JOB AND PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

Coordinate the logistics process, routing   loads, processing orders for shipping and maintaining accurate records

Applies knowledge of domestic and   international shipping guidelines regarding packing, loading and transporting.


    

MAIN DUTIES (LIST DETAILS):

  • Develop and maintain shipping schedules (with dates and times) for internal use on when trucks will be loaded and for   external use in communicating with trucking companies.
  • Investigate   and resolve potential order issues or concerns
  • Identifying   items to be expedited.
  • Track delivery progress of shipments.
  • Help ensure auditing and inventory accuracy.
  • Determine method of shipment and prepare bills of lading, invoices, shipping, picking documents, etc. This includes all   systematic logistic transactions.
  • Check export documentation to determine cargo contents and use tariff coding system to classify goods according to fee or   tariff group.
  • Quote and arrange transport of goods with shipping or freight companies.
  • Trace lost shipments as necessary; file claims as necessary.
  • Serve as a backup for Inventory Control and Shipping/Receiving area.
  • Compiling and updating various reports and computer dashboards.
  • Able to develop and maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with and between customers, salespersons,   freight companies, and coworkers to help support KPI goals of good pricing, on time delivery and inventory accuracy.


 

Requirements:

     

EDUCATION/ANY OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION:

  • Two year degree or 1-2 years equivalent work experience in a product-based customer support function.     


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: 

  • Practical problem solver, highly organized, and   self-motivated.
  • Must be adaptable and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • MRP experience. (Movex a plus)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency with experience using Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends.
  • Must be able to drive an industrial powered fork   truck.
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills in a work team environment.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Must be detail oriented.

     

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

 

Work conditions are normal for an office   environment. Must also be physically   present in non-climate-controlled warehouse.
