Position Overview
We’re looking for team players who thrive in a fast-paced environment. This combined position involves running food, bussing tables, tending bar, and providing exceptional guest service. You’ll work closely with other staff to ensure every guest leaves happy.
Bartender
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and responsibly.
- Greet customers, take orders, and provide recommendations when needed.
- Check guest identification to verify legal drinking age in accordance with Massachusetts state law and company alcohol service policies.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including counters, taps, and equipment.
- Restock beer, liquor, and bar supplies throughout the shift.
- Handle payments accurately and maintain tabs when needed.
- Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service to ensure a great guest experience.
- Follow all TIPS and Massachusetts Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission (ABCC) regulations for responsible service.
- Assist in running food and beverages from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately.
- Assist with clearing and cleaning tables for the next guests.
- Support coworkers with guest needs and food orders as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization.
- Greet guests and provide a positive, welcoming experience.
- Assist in restocking service stations, utensils, and condiments as needed.
- Strong multitasking and communication skills.
- Positive attitude and a passion for teamwork.
- Prior restaurant, bar, or food service experience preferred, we will train the right candidates.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and be comfortable standing, bending, and moving for extended periods.
- TIPS Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must be 18 years or older to serve alcohol (per Massachusetts state law).
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends as part of regular scheduling requirements.
- Flexibility in scheduling is required due to dynamic event operations at Lovell Arena.
