Job Title: Investment Associate – Sustainable Infrastructure

Position Overview

The Investment Associate will play a key role in supporting Twain’s Sustainable Infrastructure team. This individual will support underwriting new opportunities, executing transactions, and managing investor or developer relationships. The ideal candidate is analytically strong, detail-oriented, and passionate about sustainable investing.


Primary Responsibilities

Underwriting (50%)

  • Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate investment opportunities
  • Conduct market research, technical analysis, and sensitivity testing to support investment theses
  • Assess project economics, capital structures, and risk-adjusted returns
  • Prepare investment memoranda and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders

Investment Execution (30%)

  • Support due diligence processes, including coordination with legal, technical, and financial advisors
  • Assist in structuring transactions and negotiating key deal terms
  • Review and interpret legal documentation to ensure alignment with investment strategy
  • Track closing deliverables and ensure timely execution of investment transactions

Relationship Management (20%)

  • Support relationship management with developers, operators, and strategic partners
  • Contribute to pitch materials, proposals, and strategic initiatives
  • Represent the firm at industry events and conferences as needed


Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Law, or a related field
  • 3–7 years of experience in banking, project finance, or infrastructure investing
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and quantify investment risks
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with sustainable infrastructure sectors (e.g., renewable energy, energy storage) is a plus
  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and strong attention to detail
