Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician with a strong Electrical and Hydraulics background to support our modern sheet metal manufacturing operation. This role is critical to keeping production running safely, efficiently, and at peak performance.


The ideal candidate is technically sharp, hands-on, and confident troubleshooting electrical control systems, hydraulic components, and mechanical assemblies. You’ll work on well-maintained, mostly new equipment in a clean, well-lit production environment while partnering closely with operations and management.


 Essential Functions

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on sheet metal production equipment, machinery, and minor facility systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues, identifying root causes quickly and effectively
  • Work extensively with AC/DC control circuits, including sensors, switches, relays, timers, fusing, and safety circuits
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems (pumps, valves, cylinders, pressure issues, leaks, and flow control)
  • Perform mechanical repairs on components such as ball screws, bearings, gears, and drive systems
  • Install, modify, and upgrade machinery and equipment as required
  • Interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical drawings to support repairs and upgrades
  • Collaborate with operators to resolve machine issues while ensuring finished goods meet quality expectations
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, records, and documentation
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with management regarding equipment condition, downtime, and improvement opportunities
  • Assist with training operators and key personnel on proper equipment operation and preventative maintenance standards
  • Provide occasional off-hours support (on-site, phone, or email) when necessary
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment

Work Environment

This position operates in a modern manufacturing facility featuring painted floors and ceilings, excellent lighting, and well-maintained production equipment. Most machinery is new and supported by structured maintenance programs.


 Physical Demands

  • Frequent walking, bending, and standing
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
Requirements:
  •  Minimum 2 years experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong electrical background with hands-on experience troubleshooting AC/DC control circuits
  • Solid experience with hydraulic systems and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Proficiency with general computer use and maintenance documentation
  • Experience with Prima Power or Salvagnini equipment is a strong plus
  • Valid driver’s license required
