About The Role & Team

We are looking for a production engineer to join us on our mission of bringing finance and technology together to empower all investors. 

You will be working in an exciting, high-speed, and dynamic environment with teams across multiple departments and overseas. The ideal candidate is hardworking with experience in managing and building software and databases for large engineering teams and providing operational support for backend systems deployed in the cloud. You will enjoy using technology to automate solutions and optimize outcomes focusing on data management and continuous integration/deployment. 

In This Role, You Will

• Continuously improve automated build, test and deployment workflows 
• Work with system admin to ensure the continues services during the application release process 
• Work with development team to ensure the version control and resolve conflicts 
• Ensure monitoring of our systems and applications during business hours.  
• Capture and report status, escalate open issues 
• Work with the client services and back-office operation teams to review and address production application issues 
• Document, track and monitor client incidents in ticketing system to ensure a timely resolution 
• Monitor and support the ad-hoc needs in our database systems 
• Comfortable working the 2nd and 3rd shift to support the global trading systems 

The Skills You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree or above majoring in Computer Science, technology, or related field 
• At least 1 year of IT industry experience 
• Experience with MySQL and or non-sql DB, and its management tool, Kafka
• Understand basic programming for Java, Spring 
• Understand Linux OS, containers (Kubernetes), and message queue (Kafka) applications 
• Broad knowledge of AWS cloud-based technologies

• Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate 
• Familiar with configuration management  
• Previous experience in the broker-dealer/ fin-tech industry  
• Fluent in Mandarin

This role is based in our St Pete Global HQ (200 Carillon Pkwy, FL), where in-person collaboration fuels growth, mentorship, and innovation. At Webull, we’re committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. The base salary range is $65,000 - 80,000 annually, plus a discretionary bonus and full benefits. Final offers consider experience, location, and relevant qualifications.
