Title: Drawer Box Assembler
Job Summary
This operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient assembly of our drawer boxes.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Identify the build order sequence and ensure material is cut and available including drawer bottoms
- Assemble the drawer boxes according to the build paperwork
- Notch the bottom of each drawer box as required for under mount guides
- Using a jig, attach the painted drawer front to each box
- Ensure quality standards are met
- Ensure all work is completed for the order
- Stage finished product at the assembly line
- Mark completed orders as drawer box assembly complete in Salesforce
- Clean the work area throughout the shift
Essential Skills
- Basic understanding of hand tools and saws; including cordless power drills
- Ability to read and comprehend drawings and company paperwork
- Able to use tape measure
- Able to perform to production demands
- Ability to determine common quality defects in material
- Ability to perform other duties requested or required by management
- Follow direction and instruction - coachable
- Work well with other employees
- Follow safety guideline
- Ability to work overtime when needed
Manufacturing physical requirements Workers must possess good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and the ability to bend, stoop, or reach while operating machinery or handling materials.
Key Physical Demands & Abilities
- Strength & Stamina: Standing for extended periods, sitting, walking, and lifting/pushing/pulling items (often 25–50 lbs).
- Manual Dexterity: Using hands to handle, control, or feel objects; manipulating small parts; making fast, repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists.
- Mobility & Flexibility: Bending, stretching, twisting and reaching.
- Sensory Requirements: Vision to monitor, inspect, and see details; depth perception; hearing sounds for machine troubleshooting.
