Overview


Green Shield Deck Builders is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial data, assisting in the month-end close process, and providing insightful analysis to provide support in business decisions. 


Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

General Ledger Management: Oversee journal entries, reconcile complex balance sheet accounts, and manage the fixed asset register.

Month-End Close: Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely, accurate reporting.

Accounts Payable Management: Support in the end-to-end AP process, including processing invoices, reviewing and coding to the correct general ledger accounts, and helping manage the AP workflow process.

Accounts Receivable Management: Support in the end-to-end AR process, including processing customer payments and customer deposits towards contracts.

Reconciliations: Assist in the reconciliation process, including general ledger, bank, and other supporting schedules.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and implement internal controls.


Requirements:

Required Qualifications


Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

Experience: 1–3 years of progressive accounting experience 

Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, etc.) and experience with ERP/Accounting systems (QuickBooks).


Preferred Skills


Solid understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks.

Payroll and Human Resources experience is a plus.

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders.

Experience in the Construction industry.

Inventory management with related inventory management systems experience

Supply chain management, including purchasing.




Salary Information

$70000.00 - $80000.00 Annual Salary
