What You’ll Do
- Install & Wire Systems: Install and wire fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intercom, and intrusion systems using blueprints and building plans.
- Program Systems: Configure and program a variety of security and life safety platforms.
- Perform Maintenance: Conduct preventative maintenance, cleaning, adjustments, and testing on systems to keep them performing at their best.
- Repair & Troubleshoot: Diagnose hardware and software issues, repair system malfunctions, and ensure reliable system performance.
- Testing: Test components such as circuits, sensors, and backup systems to verify proper operation.
- Provide Support: Assist end users, explain system functionality, and offer technical support when needed.
- Document Work: Keep accurate records of installations, configurations, and maintenance activities.
- Integrate Systems: Help integrate security and life safety technologies with related subsystems.
- Train Users: Teach customers how to operate and maintain their systems effectively.
- Follow Safety Standards: Adhere to all codes, safety practices, and company policies during installation and service work.
- Manage Inventory: Maintain tools and track parts and materials needed for each job.
- Collaborate: Respond to work orders, communicate with clients, and coordinate with internal teams to deliver an excellent customer experience.
? What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Security system installation and support
- Strong technical skills in electronics, electrical wiring, and security/life safety systems
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Clear communication skills with clients, coworkers, and leadership
- Customer-service focused mindset
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Strong documentation and record-keeping habits
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
