About this position
The Director of Business Development (DBD) is responsible for identifying, assessing, and developing profitable business opportunities for Multi-Pak to increase revenue and meet the company’s long term growth strategies. The DBD will serve as the Business Development/Marketing thought leader and develop and implement plans designed to increase existing business and capture new opportunities This entails building solid relationships with new and existing customers, vendors, and other relevant lead generating sources in the industry.
As part of the leadership team, they will help set the company’s future direction. The DBD will work closely with leadership and cross functional members of the Management Team to drive and implement corporate strategy. They will imprint on long-range planning based on the current portfolio, potential revenue generating opportunities, identified risks/gaps and the evolving competitive landscape. They will be deeply involved in any financing/capex needs for new capabilities and helping develop the organizational structure needed to support new capabilities.
The DBD will be responsible for setting sales objectives and identifying methods by which to reach those goals. Proactively targeting market segments and prospecting new clients will be a platform for creating company awareness and closing new clients. The DBD will also respond to all RFQ’s sent to Multi Pak and nurture those requests in order to convert them into sales.
Once an RFQ is received, the DBD will manage the entire process from RFQ to PO. This will require overseeing all quoting, material sourcing, and technical support. Once an opportunity is awarded, the DBD will assign the opportunity to a Customer Success Project Manager on the team.

• Meet annual sales targets for business development.
• Directs all marketing for MP
• Nurturing long term client relationships.
• Work with prospective clients to understand their business needs and pain points.
• Ensure smooth and seamless client onboarding and relationship building.
• Provide clients with timely communication and solutions.
• Leads all quoting
Internal Responsibilities:
Pillar Heads
• Works collaboratively with pillar leads to meet client demands and ensure revenue growth and profitability.
• Strategic Engagement
• Active participation and engagement in internal strategic projects and initiatives.
• Formalize Estimation
• Work with production and accounting to standardize the estimation process. Collect and analyze data to validate process rates and manpower needs.
• Work cross functionally to improve processes where applicable.

• Growing client base by annual sales goal:
o Goals will be set by the Management Team and the DBD’s performance will be measured by how successfully this goal is met.
• Create awareness for MP nationally
o The DBD is responsible for creating company awareness through media, trade shows, and prospecting.
• Identifying gaps in capabilities in light of market trends:
o The DBD must know what is happening in the marketplace and gather competitive intel and use this knowledge to create a competitive advantage for MP.

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 10+ Years Relevant Experience
• Ability to work independently while presenting and rolling up necessary information to appropriate management

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
• Manager: Chief Marketing Officer

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:
• Must be able to remain in the stationary position 80% of the time.
• The person in this position may need to frequently move about inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
• The person in this position is required to communicate to all other departments and must be able to exchange accurate information in these circumstances.
