About the Position:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented IT Administrator to manage and support our organization’s technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth operation of systems, networks, and security while providing technical support to end users. This role supports office staff, shop and field operations, ensuring minimal downtime and strong cybersecurity practices.


Job responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and storage systems.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot physical and virtual servers (e.g., Windows Server and Linux environments).
  • Install, configure, and support hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Manage IP addressing, VLANs, and VPN configurations.
  • Plan and implement infrastructure upgrades, improvements, and system migrations.
  • Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, antivirus solutions, and endpoint protection.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with security policies.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and internal IT policies.
  • Proactively monitor system performance, health, and capacity to prevent service disruptions.
  • Troubleshoot system and network issues to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Maintain and execute data backup and disaster recovery plans.
  • Provide technical support and training for staff.
  • Manage software licensing and maintain IT asset inventory.
  • Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, standards, and system documentation.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for technical support, procurement, and service delivery.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in IT support or system administration
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications including SharePoint/Dynamics/Business Central
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills


Key Competencies:

  • Previous experience in a Windows network environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications including SharePoint, Dynamics, and Business Central

Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified (e.g., Azure Administrator, Windows Server)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • CompTIA Network+ or Security+
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
  • ITIL Foundation

Working Conditions: 

  • Usual in-office working conditions. 
  • Regular hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, on-site
  • Additional hours may be required depending on organization needs.
