About this position
Kim Health Center, a busy non-profit primary care and dental clinic is seeking a full time Spanish bilingual front desk assistant to support patient services. 4 days per week, medical, dental and 401K benefits available if desired. Room for growth with both hours and responsibilities. We are a mission driven health care clinic working with underserved populations. Prior job experience must include demonstrated interpersonal skills, good communication skills, a commitment to service and helping others.
Responsibilities include:
- Greet patients
- Schedule appointments
- Answer phones
- Assist with general patient flow at the front desk and throughout clinic
- Update medical records
- Learn Electronic Medical Record’s system for medical and dental to schedule patients and maintain medical records
- Comply with all HIPPA laws and follow internal PHI policy and procedure
- Learn provider schedules and scope of practice for proper scheduling
- Checking patients in and out
- Assist with heavy phone volume
- Help reconcile with other staff end of day patient visit data
- Attention to detail
- Send patient referrals and records, in timely manner
- Be a good communicator
- Remain patient and service focused
- Communicate regularly with Front Desk Manager and Executive Director as needed
- Attend monthly staff meetings
- Willing to occasionally work outreach events at health fairs or special events held at clinics or community centers
- Needs to have basic working knowledge of Microsoft office, and at a minimum basic computer experience.
