Job Summary
The Armed Security Guard plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all guests, staff, and company property at Tact Tech Security Solutions. This role involves vigilant monitoring, proactive threat prevention, and professional management of security incidents. Armed Security Guards are responsible for enforcing rules, de-escalating conflicts, and coordinating with law enforcement when necessary, while maintaining a professional and authoritative presence.
The ideal candidate is a disciplined, vigilant professional who demonstrates sound judgment, remains calm under pressure, and consistently upholds the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service in a dynamic security environment.
Key Responsibilities
Security Operations & Patrol
Monitor and patrol assigned premises to deter potential threats or disruptive behavior.
Conduct regular security checks to ensure all entry and exit points are properly secured.
Maintain a secure environment for guests and staff, preventing unauthorized access.
Incident Response & Management
Respond promptly and effectively to security breaches, disturbances, or emergencies.
Manage and de-escalate confrontations or altercations using appropriate tactics and communication.
Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
Access Control & Verification
Check identification to verify legal drinking age or authorized access.
Conduct pat-downs and searches of guests as necessary.
Ensure compliance with venue rules, regulations, and company policies.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare accurate and timely reports on incidents, security breaches, or suspicious activity.
Maintain documentation as required by management and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
Required
A valid Security Guard D license.
A valid Security Guard G license.
A valid Florida driver’s license.
Must supply a personal tactical vest, duty belt, and firearm, and demonstrate proper qualification and authorization to carry and use the firearm.
Proven experience as a security guard, law enforcement officer, or in a similar role.
Ability to remain calm and think clearly in high-pressure or emergency situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Physically fit, with the ability to stand or patrol for extended periods.
Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Knowledge of conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred
Previous experience in nightclub security or nightlife venues.
Certification in First Aid, CPR, or other relevant safety training.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
