About the Role
Quest International is hiring a hands-on Field Service Technician to travel to customer sites and repair A/V and electro-mechanical systems. This role is physical, tool-based, and repair-focused. You will be dispatched to real service calls, troubleshoot failed systems, replace parts, verify operation, and document the work completed.
This Is NOT an IT Job (Read This Twice)
This position is not IT support, help desk, NOC, networking, systems administration, or remote troubleshooting. If your background is primarily tickets, software support, Office 365, servers, or network monitoring, this role will not be a fit.
What You’ll Do
Travel to customer sites and perform hands-on troubleshooting and repair
Diagnose equipment failures and replace components at the FRU level
Perform installs, testing, and verification of system functionality
Use diagnostic tools like digital multimeters and standard hand tools
Communicate clearly with customers and internal operations
Complete accurate service documentation and closeout notes
What You MUST Have (No Exceptions)
1+ year of hands-on field service experience repairing equipment on-site
Experience troubleshooting physical hardware using tools (not just software)
Comfort replacing components and restoring equipment to working condition
Ability to travel up to 80% including overnight stays
Valid driver’s license and ability to work in a field-based environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders in active job sites
Strongly Preferred
A/V equipment install or break/fix experience
Electro-mechanical service background (industrial, medical, telecom, electronics)
Cabling experience (Cat5/Cat6, HDMI, coax, fiber) paired with real troubleshooting
Customer-facing field repair experience and strong documentation habits
