Title: Site Supervisor of Before & After School Program 

Supervisor: Program Director of School Based Clubs 

Site Location: Elementary School #11 – 147 Merselis Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07011 

Exempt/Nonexempt: Part Time, Non-Exempt 


Position Overview: 

Under the direct supervision of the Program Coordinator and the Director of School-Based Clubs, the Site Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation and effectiveness of assigned Schools’ Out (Before & After School) program sites within Clifton Schools. This position ensures the health, safety, and well-being of members and site staff while overseeing high quality program implementation, staff supervision, and compliance with organizational, school district and New jersey State licensing requirements. The Site Supervisor plays a key role in supporting the mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Clifton by fostering a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for youth development.  


Program & Site Operations: 

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Before & After School program site.  
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all members and staff.  
  • Conduct required monthly safety drills in accordance with NJ State Licensing regulations.  
  • Ensure the site is staffed appropriately at all times and remains fully compliant with licensing and organizational standards.  

Staff Supervision & Leadership: 

  • Supervise, guide, and support site staff to ensure high-quality program delivery.  
  • Serve as a positive role model for staff and members.  
  • Hold monthly staff meetings to review expectations, address concerns, and support professional development.  
  • Adhere to and enforce Club Personnel Policies, Practices, and Discipline Policies.  

Administrative Duties: 

  • Maintain accurate site records, including attendance, accident/incident reports, program applications, and payment documentation.  
  • Perform basic administrative tasks related to program operations.  
  • Pick up and manage program supplies and equipment as needed.  

Communication & Collaboration 

  • Communicate effectively with staff, parents/guardians, school personnel, and Club administration.  
  • Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and conferences to support program improvement.  
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator, Program Director, or Administration.  


Physical Demands: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, and attending meetings/trainings.  
  • Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.  
  • Must be able to respond promptly to program needs 


Qualifications 

Required: 

  • First Aid, CPR, and Safety Certification (trainings provided if necessary). 
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead staff.  
  • Ability to set, track, and achieve program and site goals.  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with staff, parents, and youth.  
  • Ability to perform basic administrative organizational duties.  


Schedule: 

Monday - Friday  

Before Care – 7:05 AM – 9 AM 

After Care – 3 PM - 6PM 


Compensation: $18 - $25 an hour (commensurate with experience) 

Requirements:
