What You'll Do

The Assembler / Rebar Cutter plays a key role in preparing reinforcing steel used in precast concrete products. This position involves accurately cutting, bending, and preparing rebar according to project specifications and assembling components or structures as needed. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical drawings, work instructions, and safety procedures in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Assemble & Cut

  • Cut and bend rebar to specified lengths and shapes according to work orders.
  • Operate benders, cutters, and other fabrication equipment safely and accurately.
  • Deliver rebar and materials to and from work areas using a forklift as needed.
  • Ensure machines and tools are in good working condition.
  • Remove and dispose of loose materials such as metal shavings and wire clippings.

Quality & Safety

  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
  • Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized in line with housekeeping standards.

Teamwork & Support

  • Work collaboratively to meet daily production goals.
  • Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement activities.
  • Support other production tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand–eye coordination.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical measuring tools.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting production demands.
  • Ability to read and follow written, verbal, and technical instructions.
  • Ability to operate a forklift safely (training provided).
  • Physically capable of performing manual labor, including frequent lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
  • Effective organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Physically capable of performing manual labor, including frequent lifting, bending, stooping, and standing for long periods; ability to lift 25–50 lbs (occasionally more).
  • Work in a loud environment with moving equipment and heavy machinery.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as production needs require.

Pay & Benefits

  • $23.00 – $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
