This is a night shift position. Working hours will be determined by work load and shift coverage needs.

Sulzer Turbo Services (STS) is an independent provider of services and repairs of critical turbomachinery. We specialize in the repair, overhaul, and replacement of parts for high-speed rotating equipment such as steam and gas turbines, compressors, expanders, and other industrial rotating equipment found primarily in the Oil & Gas, Pipeline, Petrochemical, Ammonia, Nitric Acid, Fertilizer and Power Generation markets.
Position Summary
A tool room attendant is a person who manages the inventory and maintenance of tools and equipment in a warehouse or business. He or she is responsible for issuing, receiving, inspecting, and reporting on the tools and equipment that are used by other personnel. He or she also orders, organizes, and transfers tools and equipment as needed. He or she may also update or create work instructions to comply with ISO standards.
Responsibilities
- Work closely and clearly communicate with the other departments, Shipping and Receiving/Storage personnel, Supervisor, and Lead Man
- Maintain log/journal entries of consumables and shop tooling
- Maintain log of ring/plug gauge usage
- Manages Master Plan order weekly
- Order all chemicals for shops per department requests
- Confirm all chemicals used by division are listed on SDS logs per quarter/as needed
- Facilitate repairs/replacements of Company/Employee precision tooling/instruments
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- HS Diploma or higher
- Knowledge of turbo machinery
- Purchasing experience
- Machining experience
