Prevention Presenter

This role performs as a major mental health and ATOD prevention educator within the catchment area. Travel will be required within this area. This position is located in Dothan, Alabama.

Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:30pm; Friday 8am - 12pm

Responsibilities:

Developing and presenting programs to update the targeted population

Conducting research on applicable topics
Serve as an operational liaison between the Center and the community
Some travel is required within the catchment area

Requirements:

BS degree in a human services related field and 1 year experience in substance abuse including the following:
- 2,000 hours in substance abuse prevention
- 100 hours of prevention education training including 4 hours of Prevention specific HIV/Aids education, 6 hours of prevention specific ethics and 4 hours of Managing a Disruptive Audience Behavior and a minimum of 120 hours of supervised practical experience with at least 10 of the following:
  - Individual/Peer
  - Family
  - Community
  - School
- Must have a signed code of ethics form with evaluations from supervisors or colleagues

The Prevention Director provides general supervision of the person with a minimum of 2 hours direct supervision each month
