About the Role

The Accounting & FP&A Manager plays a key role in monitoring, analyzing, and reporting the company’s financial and operational performance. This position is responsible for maintaining financial reporting tools, performing in-depth analysis, supporting the month-end close process, and helping drive strategic decision-making through accurate data insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial dashboards to deliver timely, accurate information to leadership
  • Manage the monthly team member scorecard process, including performance calculations and bonus payout preparation
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements to support business performance assessment and strategic planning
  • Own month-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Run biweekly payroll, ensuring accurate processing of wages, deductions, and benefits in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Oversee MRP, including purchase order tracking and invoice matching, collaborating with operations on inventory management
  • Own and manage company sales tax filings, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission to relevant tax authorities
  • Serve as the internal financial point of contact for cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate on financial model, scenario analysis, budgeting and forecasting
  • Participate in and support monthly financial review with CFO
  • Prepare materials and lead monthly departmental financial review meetings, providing insights on trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
  • Monitor companywide operational performance, ensuring accuracy and consistency of master operational performance data
  • Partner with CFO, external CPA and tax advisors for tax filings, audits, and year-end reporting
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support operational and strategic initiatives

Qualifications

  • Advanced Excel user, capable of deep data analysis, scenario modeling, and reconciliation
  • Expertise in creating impactful reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or advanced Excel charting)
  • Experience and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, variance analysis, and operational metrics
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of professional experience in financial or business analysis
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality work in a dynamic environment
