Job Summary:

Assist supervisors by facilitating communication throughout operations. Maintaining quality and safety standards on all sintering furnaces and equipment

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Correctly perform the following activities
  2. Must be able to read and interpret a control plan
  3. Must be able to enter and print an NCMR
  4. Verification and use of micrometers
  5. Verification and use of indicators
  6. Verification and use of weight scales
  7. Setup and operate bench centers for Runout check and report
  8. Setup and operate indicator for perpendicularity check
  9. Setup and operate all density scales
  10. Setup and operate all hardness testers
  11. Setup and operate Comparator
  12. Setup and operate Mitutoyo height indicators/surface plate
  13. Visual inspection of compaction
  14. Visual inspection of sintered part (includes metallographic analysis)
  15. Set up and operate CMM, measure and report:
  16. Outside Diameter
    1. Inside Diameter
    2. Spherical Diameter
    3. Roundness of above features
    4. Perpendicularity
    5. Flatness
    6. Position
    7. Concentricity
    8. Width
  17. Change CMM probes and calibrate on manual and DCC machines as well as train others on equipment
  18. Setup and operate snap gauge

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Follow all established safety regulations and procedures.
  2. Setup, monitor, and operate all Sintering equipment as needs require.
  3. Advise supervisor, or Operations Facilitator of any part, equipment, and process difficulties.
  4. Follow all instructions as provided on process control plans and any reference documents.
  5. Quality checks based on assigned level of capability.
  6. Gaging care and verification.
  7. Routine cleaning, care of machines, gages, and other equipment used.
  8. Perform inspections for In-Process of existing and new product as required (includes destructive tests, & nondestructive tests)
  9. Use all available gauging to decide fit of product – will include both setup and operation of gauging
  10. Inform supervision of out-of –tolerance conditions
  11. Audit product, process and documentation at furnace areas as required by existing control plans
  12. Verify setups as required
  13. Complete necessary records both written and electronic
  14. Participate in scheduling/prioritizing of work as required through working with master scheduler.
  15. Learn new gauging/techniques as acquired
  16. Perform other duties as assigned
  17. Inspect and/or sort parts as required.
  18. Record keeping (SPC charts, Production reports, Product Routers, etc.)
  19. Follow all standard work for autonomous maintenance.
  20. Participates in ongoing training and continuous improvement activities.

Skills Executed:

Education: High School Graduate / GED

Safety Requirements: When required in specific areas. This includes, but is not limited to safety glasses, with side shields, hearing protection, and gloves.

2nd Shift-Monday - Friday: 3:00pm to 11:00pm (Additional hours may be needed to fulfill job duties and responsibilities)

Salary Information

$18.0 - $27.0 Hourly Wage
