Starting Salary: $23.13/hour (currently under contract negotiations)

The Parkchester Police Department is actively seeking motivated and community-focused individuals interested in pursuing a meaningful and dynamic career in law enforcement. As a Patrol Officer, you will be part of a respected public safety team responsible for protecting and serving a diverse Bronx community of over 50,000 residents.

Key Responsibilities:
Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure public safety
Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service
Enforce New York State and New York City laws and Parkchester community rules
Provides public safety by maintaining order, responding to emergencies, protecting people and property, enforcing motor vehicle and criminal laws, and promoting good community relations
Provide assistance and support to residents, businesses, and visitors
Records facts to prepare reports that document incidents and activities

Minimum Requirements:
At least 21 years of age
High school diploma or GED
Valid NYS driver’s license
U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency
Pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
Must meet New York State and New York City Special Patrolman requirements
