CHT is seeking an ambitious individual to join our Facility Supports Team as a Maintenance Technician/Carpenter. In this vital role, you'll work on projects serving our hospital customers, using a diverse range of building materials and techniques to address their evolving needs. Key Responsibilities:
• Installation and maintenance of Sheetrock, steel studs, and Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP).
• Application of various paint products and installation of shower enclosures, tiles, and marble.
• A plus, but not required is utilization of firestopping materials, including elastomeric and intumescent types. FIT 1 Certification provided.
• Construction and installation of millwork, cabinets, and countertops.
• Application of caulks and adhesives for building and finishing purposes.
• Installation of flooring materials such as Vinyl Composition Tile (VCT), Luxury Vinyl Planking, and carpet tiles.
• Maintenance of high standards of construction and compliance with all building codes and regulations.
• Wall preparation, painting & clean-up
• Upholding safety and cleanliness standards on the job site.
• Effective communication with team members and clients to facilitate efficient project completion.
• Regular lifting and moving of materials and equipment as required by construction tasks.
• Position may occasionally require after hours & weekends, as dictated by the hospital schedule

Position Requirements:
• One to three years of stable work history
• Demonstrated expertise as a Maintenance Technician/Carpenter in various settings, including residential and commercial.
• Proficient in using both hand and power tools required for carpentry tasks.
• Knowledgeable in modern construction materials and effective building techniques.
• Ability to electronically manage timesheets and expenses.
• Strong focus on detail and a dedication to quality in all work performed.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Physical ability to handle demanding tasks, including lifting, moving heavy objects, bending, and prolonged standing.
• Position requires after hours and weekend projects on occasion.
• Educational background includes a high school diploma or equivalent; further training or certification in carpentry is advantageous.
• Must possess, maintain a safe driving record, and current state issued driver's license
• Must be able to pass multiple background checks, motor vehicle records checks, and drug tests as required by our clients.
Note:
• The position excludes responsibilities related to electrical and plumbing tasks.
• Due to the varied nature of projects, adaptability to work with a wide range of materials as required is necessary.
• Minimum rate starts at $27/hour. Hourly rate is negotiable based upon experience.
