About this position

- Installation of PC hardware and maintains inventory of PC hardware.
- Maintenance of computer hardware and local networks.
- Installs, configures, manages, and trains on software.
- Troubleshoots to identify and resolve computer and network issues.
- Cabling for new computer systems.
- Maintaining documentation for citywide systems.
- Provide helpdesk support for computer and network issues.
- Tests and evaluates new technology.
High school diploma or GED equivalent; previous experience as help desk technician, computer technician, or IT support; Associate’s degree in IT preferred; in-depth knowledge of internet security and data privacy principals; verbal and written communication skills; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Kentucky driver’s license.
