JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recommend documents and issues discipline.
- Conducts interviews of employee candidates.
- Assigns employee personnel as necessary.
- Employ attendants to operate and maintain the Lasix and Receiving Barn in a clean and healthy condition.
- Assure that all collection procedures are done in accordance with the chain of custody guidelines.
- Ensure that only authorized personnel having business with a horse designated for testing are allowed in the test barn.
- Ensure that the horse to be tested remains under the visual supervision of test barn personnel.
- Ensure that one person is designated to handle barn paperwork, fill out sample cards, and provide labor numbers to employees assigned to collect samples.
- Ensure that after a successful urine collection, the time of collection is noted and the sample sealed in front of the trainer's representative, and that the signature of the witness to the sealing is obtained.
- Guarantee samples are refrigerated or frozen in a locked or security-sealed container or ice chest until such time as they are transported to the laboratory.
- Maintain a daily sampling log.
- Promotes outstanding customer relations.
- Promotes honesty and trust amongst the team.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Extensive experience in the handling of Thoroughbred Horses.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule according to the needs of the business, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
