Avesta Housing is seeking a mission-driven Leasing Specialist to support applicants and residents while helping maintain strong occupancy across our communities.


In this role, you'll serve as a key point of contact for prospective residents—guiding applicants through the leasing process, supporting eligibility determinations, maintaining waitlists, and assisting with income certifications. You'll collaborate closely with property management to market available units, meet leasing timelines, and ensure compliance with affordable housing regulations. Every day, your work will directly support Avesta's mission of improving lives by creating and maintaining quality, affordable homes for people in need.

Salary Information

$22 - $26 Hourly Wage

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with disadvantaged populations and familiarity with eligibility determination preferred.
  • Experience with Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties and/or affordable housing for this position is preferred.
  • Understanding of fair housing practices and regulations preferred. COS certification must be attained within one year of hire.
  • Minimum two years’ experience working in office setting.
