About the position:
As a Respite Case Coordinator, you will support families and care providers by managing client authorizations, coordinating appropriate worker matches, and ensuring services are delivered according to program standards.
You will conduct required home visits, maintain consistent communication with families, monitor service quality, and resolve issues with a proactive, solutions-driven approach.
This role is central to maintaining service integrity and strengthening long-term relationships with both clients and providers.
What You'll Do:
Authorization and Compliance
● Track and manage client authorizations
● Monitor service utilization and flag discrepancies
● Maintain organized records to support audit readiness
Client Support and Communication
● Maintain regular contact with families
● Respond to questions, concerns, or service changes
● Coordinate and conduct regular home visits
● Document client updates and communication accurately
Worker Matching and Service Coordination
● Match clients with appropriate respite workers
● Support transition planning when a worker leaves
● Provide follow-up to ensure successful worker placement
Quality and Issue Resolution
● Monitor service satisfaction and performance
● Address issues involving families and providers
● Collaborate with supervisors to resolve complex cases
● Support continuous improvement of service delivery
What You'll Bring:
● B.A. in a related field or 2–3 years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities (equivalent experience considered)
● Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish)
● Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills
● Ability to manage client records, service coordination, and home visits accurately
● Solutions-driven, proactive approach to problem-solving

Physical Requirements:
● Must pass a post offer pre-employment background check, non- arduous physical, drug/TB screen
● Ability to travel locally to meet with clients, partners, or attend events, if applicable.
● Ability to work in various environments, including office and community settings.
● Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
● May require occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs), standing, walking, or assisting individuals with mobility needs, if applicable.
● Work environment may include exposure to pet allergens. The Arc maintains a pet-friendly culture, and animals (such as the office cat) may occasionally be present in the workplace. Employees may also encounter pet allergens through donated items or community environments.
