The Role

The Manager, Social Media will serve as an integral part of the NWSL's content team, helping to bring the league's brand to life across NWSL social channels. This is a role for someone who lives and breathes social media and content, understands the nuances of each platform, knows how to write copy that resonates, and genuinely cares about connecting with a passionate fan community.


You'll work at the center of the league's day-to-day social presence, supporting content planning and publishing, engaging with fans in real time, and helping execute across the biggest moments throughout the NWSL season. What You Will Own & Drive

  • Support the development and execution of the NWSL’s social publishing calendar for each platform, ensuring consistency and strategic posting
  • Help manage content planning and workflows, copy proofing, and publishing across @NWSL social media channels
  • Package and publish content across NWSL social media channels, optimizing for each platform
  • Support live posting during matches and tentpole events
  • Monitor comments, messages, and mentions and engage with the NWSL community
  • Implement content tagging strategy to support team’s social reporting efforts
  • Assist the broader social and marketing teams with additional projects related to tentpole events and key marketing priorities
  • Serve as cross-functional partner for internal teams, supporting broader league business goals and initiatives



What You Will Bring

Core Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in social media management, preferably in sports or live entertainment
  • Exceptional copywriting abilities with platform-specific expertise and strong attention to detail
  • Experience with major social media platforms, such as TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube Shorts, and other vertical video formats
  • Deep understanding of growing social accounts, particularly in reaching new audiences
  • Deep knowledge and genuine passion for women’s soccer and the NWSL
  • Basic proficiency in Photoshop
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced and fluid environment
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset — comfortable working with tight timelines, adapting to changing priorities, and reacting to real-time data
  • Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and travel for games and events
