Position Summary
The receiving clerk will be responsible for managing incoming deliveries to the warehouse by verifying the accuracy of deliveries against what was expected.
Essential Duties/Job Responsibilities (Job Duties)
- Receive/unload shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt.
- Collaborate with procurement team to identify expected deliveries and the corresponding schedule/timetables.
- Verify packages/shipments according to their order and invoices (quantity, quality, price, etc.)
- Maintain accurate order/delivery records and assist in inventory control.
- Process returns for unsatisfactory shipments and/or receive replacements.
Minimum Qualifications/Skills:
- High School Degree or GED
- Strong organizations skills
- Basic math and record keeping abilities
- Ability to work independently within a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to skillfully and safely operate job specific tools and equipment
Experience:
- A minimum of one year of warehouse/distribution center experience.
- Experience in a light manufacturing setting preferred.
- Experience in receiving or inventory preferred.
Requirements:
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Work environment and working conditions are reflective of a light manufacturing setting.
- Perform work on concrete floors for duration of shift.
- Must be able to lift and move (push, pull, carry) items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to raise arms above shoulders regularly and freely rotate arms/shoulders to lift/move parts.
- Must be able to kneel, crouch, stoop, bend, and squat when needed.
- Work will include repetitive hand, arm, wrist, and leg motion.
Will need hand and finger flexibility and dexterity and excellent eyesight with or without corrective lenses.
