Maintenance Lead Hand – Squamish, BC
Full-Time | Seasonal | $28–$30/hour

As a Maintenance Lead Hand, you’ll support the Maintenance Supervisor in the field while helping lead your crew to deliver safe, high-quality work — season after season.

What You’ll Do
- Support the Maintenance Supervisor with daily field operations
- Perform full-service maintenance: mowing, trimming, edging, hedge trimming, weeding, blowing
- Assist with occasional softscape installs
- Support winter services including snow removal and salt application
- Inspect and maintain equipment; report deficiencies
- Participate in safety meetings and wear required PPE
- Represent Horizon professionally and deliver exceptional customer service
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 2 years of landscape industry experience (or equivalent education)
- Experience operating landscape equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers)
- Knowledge of local plant life
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Team-oriented mindset with natural leadership qualities
- Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
Horticulture education and industry certifications (Red Seal, CLT, Pesticide License) are assets.
Compensation & Benefits
- $28–$30/hour based on experience
- Vacation pay paid out each cheque
