The Assistant Branch Manager oversees the daily management of the branch to ensure customer service and operational excellence. Fosters team development, provides coaching to enhance performance while modeling the sales and service standards in the branch and providing exceptional customer experience. Performs a variety of complex duties with the highest degree of accuracy, integrity, and professionalism with sound judgement and a focus on the customer experience. 


    

Leadership and Staff Management

  •  Oversees the overall direction and coordination of designated staff, executing supervisory duties in alignment with organizational policies and relevant legal regulations.
  • Leads and coaches team members in      providing exceptional customer service.
  •  Encourages a culture of shared success by achieving both individual and branch sales goals.
  •  Partners with Branch/Market Manager to develop and implement sales strategies, mentors the team to achieve sales objectives, and oversees branch operations.

  

Operational Management

  •  Ensures consistent implementation of branch operations, audit, and compliance policies.
  •  Schedules branch staff, including breaks, Saturday coverage and paid time off (PTO).
  •  Conducts and supervises staff for weekly and monthly audits.
  •  Performs and assigns daily duties including night deposit access and opening and closing of the branch. 
  • Approves policy exceptions and override transactions.
  • Complete various operational, risk, sales, and staffing reports.
  • Reviews and approves timecards.
  • Manages daily branch transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and account  maintenance.

  

Customer Engagement and Sales Growth

  •  Works in partnership with management to develop and implement sales strategies, mentors the team to achieve sales objectives, and oversees branch operations
  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of Bank products and services.
  • Works in partnership with internal business partners to guarantee customer satisfaction and strengthen relationships. In community engagement and volunteer events. Participates in all bank-wide and departmental incentive and business development initiatives.
  • Trains and mentors employees to achieve individual and team sales goals

  

Community Engagement

  •  Represents the bank at networking and volunteer events to enhance community relationships.
  •  Strengthens local connections and promotes goodwill through active participation in community engagement and volunteer events.

Compliance 

  • Actively stays current on all Bank products, services, procedures, policies, and applicable regulatory and compliance requirements by regularly attending team meetings, completing mandatory training on schedule, and applying knowledge to ensure accuracy and compliance in daily operations. 
  • Ensures  adherence to federal and state laws, regulations, and bank policies by  preventing violations, minimizing risks, and safeguarding the Bank’s  interests. 
  • Verifies transactions and account balances, ensuring compliance with bank policies and state and federal regulations and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), as applicable to the role.



Requirements:


  • High school diploma. Associate’s degree preferred. 
  •  Minimum of 3 years of retail banking experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in a customer service role.
  •  Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  •  Ability to work in any retail branch location as needed.
  • Strong knowledge of operational systems and databases.
  •  Proficient in basic office software. 
  •  Bi-lingual preferred.

The salary range represents an estimate based on market data for this position. Final compensation decisions are made based on experience, skills, and internal equity to ensure fairness and consistency across our organization.
