POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance & Repair Technician installs and performs preventive maintenance and repairs of manufacturing equipment, including CNC machinery, filtration units, monitoring fluid levels, coolant concentration, and more. Additionally, the Maintenance & Repair Technician performs general building maintenance, including electrical, lighting, plumbing, doors, fixtures, and more. 


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on all production equipment: injection molding presses, ancillary equipment, and forklift
  • Operate and modify injection molding machine controls
  • Perform internal and external building maintenance such as lighting, water, gas, cooling towers, air compressors, painting, cleaning plumbing
  • Order parts & supplies and maintain a replacement part supplies inventory
  • Repair and troubleshoot: injection molding machines, ancillary injection molding equipment, forklift, various types of metal working equipment including general machine tools and CNC equipment 
  • Install and maintain computer cable system
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area
  • Notify supervisor of all unsafe or hazardous conditions or defective equipment
  • Drive company vehicle
  • Perform duties in a safe manner with regard for the safety of others
  • Individual supports the Facilities Manager in day-to-day tasks
  • Utilize six-sigma quality tools, when appropriate, to define, measure, analyze, improve and control processes and outcomes
  • Responsible to maintain & support processes, procedures & K.P.I.’s owned by your position
  • Review of all procedures related to your job per “HR LG 01 Training Matrix”
  • Completion within time stated of all training required by Job Description in “HR LG 01 Training Matrix”
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Regular and punctual attendance
  • Follow all Company policies and procedures


Requirements:

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government


SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Good communications skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Computer literate
  • Attention to detail
  • Read, write & speak English
  • Able to follow written & oral instructions
  • Working hours are Monday - Friday 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years’ experience
  • General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, brazing soldering principles and practices
  • Physically capable to perform duties (no fear of heights)
  • Valid, clean driver’s license
  • General knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, heating, and AC systems
  • Flexibility in working schedule
  • Complete knowledge of all electrical and mechanical hand tools


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment.
  • For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sit or stand as needed.
  • Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
  • Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.
  • Proper lifting techniques required.
  • Ability and comfortability to work in small confine spaces while following proper safety protocol. 
  • Ability to accomplish the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Salary Information

$26.00 - $37.00 Hourly Wage
