About this position

Description:

 As a member of our prep team, your work will set the restaurant up for the day. You will ensure all ingredients are prepared to our standards while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Cleanliness, safety, sanitation is a must.   


 

  • Prepare ingredients according to standardized recipes, including chopping, slicing, measuring, and portioning. 
  • Assist with basic cooking tasks such as blanching, par-cooking, and assembling components. 
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations, storage areas, and equipment. 
  • Label, date, and store food items properly to ensure freshness and minimize waste. 
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling, temperature control, and cleaning procedures. 
  • Support line cooks and chefs by replenishing ingredients and completing prep lists. 
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely (mixers, slicers, ovens, knives, etc.). 
  • Receive and store deliveries, verifying quality and quantity of products. 
  • Communicate any shortages, quality issues, or equipment problems to kitchen leadership. 
  • Assist with closing and opening duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education & Experience 

  • Previous experience in a full-service restaurant.  
  • Great communication skills.  
  • An ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and within a team. 
  • Must be 18 years or older

Physical Demands 

  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds (including trash bags). 
  • Position requires prolonged standing, bending, twisting, carrying of objects and repetitive hand and wrist motions.  
  • Working with hot, cold and hazardous materials and equipment. 
  • Non-slip shoes required
