About the role
- American Vision Windows of Arizona is seeking a hardworking Installation Leader for our Tucson office. The Installer Crew Chief position involves removing and replacing residential and commercial windows and doors completed to AAMA standards. This position will also be responsible for custom measuring after the sale to ensure order accuracy, as well as managing daily warehouse operations.
- We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and professional individual who is prompt, courteous, and able to work well with both customers and team members.
Duties
- Manage and mentor apprentice installers.
- Oversee the warehouse, confirming safe receipt, storage and dispatch of goods, and taking responsibility for the security of the building and stock.
- Review sales contracts with customers and conduct final measurements for product ordering following sale. Assure the contract meets or exceeds the expectation of the customer, review building code requirements, and determine the correct type of installation needed including special materials and considerations.
- Must understand and comply with all safety practices, be able to lift up to 100lbs. and safely climb a 24ft. ladder.
- Remove old or damaged windows and dispose of them properly.
- Prepare the window frame and surrounding area for installation, including removing debris or obstructions and ensuring the area is clean and level.
- Install using various techniques and tools to ensure it is properly secured and weatherproofed in accordance with AAMA standards.
- Seal and insulate the window frames to prevent air and moisture leaks.
- Test the window to ensure it opens and closes smoothly and locks securely.
- Clean up the installation area and dispose of any leftover materials or debris.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of experience in construction or a related field, focused on window installation and repair.
- Current AAMA certification is a strong plus. All Crew Chiefs are required to complete and pass the AAMA certification course provided by the company.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to window installation and repair.
- Familiarity with various hand and power tools, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact with clients professionally and courteously.
- Valid Driver’s License

Salary Pay Range: $65k – $80k (DOE)
