Scranton Dodge is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to join our fast-paced service department. We’re looking for a motivated, skilled technician who can consistently turn good hours each week and thrive in a high-volume shop environment.


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Diesel Technician
     
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills on diesel engines and systems
     
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-production shop
     
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
     
  • Ability to consistently produce and manage good billable hours
     
  • Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to quality repairs
     
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
     

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy duty diesel vehicles
     
  • Perform engine, transmission, electrical, and drivetrain repairs
     
  • Complete work accurately and efficiently according to dealership standards
     
  • Communicate clearly with service advisors regarding repair needs
     
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in Automotive or Diesel Technology preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of diesel automotive experience
  • Knowledge of diesel engine components and systems
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic software, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to move and lift heavy objects or equipment.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • ASE Diesel Certification preferred.
  • State and emissions certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License
