I.  PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION

 The position provides financial record support of the St. Joseph-Inez Parish. Collaborate with Father, CCD Director, Administrative Assistant, Diocese of Victoria, Parish Council, and Finance Council.

 II. WORKING CONDITIONS

 The work will be carried out in a controlled, agreeable environment as generally represented by normal office conditions.  In times of disaster response, working conditions may vary.

 III. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 IV. MENTAL AND APTITUDE REQUIREMENTS

            The ability to hear and talk; strong writing skills, analytical, conceptual, problem-solving and decision-making skills; and handling multiple tasks within the confines of deadlines.

 V. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFICATIONS

 Must pass all Diocese background checks and Safe Environment requirements.

  • Must maintain confidentiality in all matters.
  • Ability to relate to a variety of persons and personalities
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational skills & ability to multi-task
  • Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook email, preferred

 VI.   MAJOR FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND REGULAR ACTIVITIES

              Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of weekly deposit
  • Coordination with CPA of deposit and bill payment activity
  • Coordination with the Diocese regarding payroll
  • Liaison with Picnic chairpersons on financial needs (petty cash, bills payable, donations)
  • General knowledge of the Parish’s different restricted account categories
  • Collaborate with all Diocesan offices, especially the office of Safe Environment and Office of Business and Finance/HR

Salary Information

$12.0 - $15.0 Hourly Wage
