Description:
Primary Role:
As an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator, you will operate Walking Foot / Serger sewing machines and deliver seamstress quality, preferably with experience using other materials.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operation of walking foot sewing machine at an intermediate level.
- Trimming/cutting of parts during assembly
- Maintaining quality records as required by the company’s quality policies and procedures.
- Prepares machine by changing needles and thread, oiling and changing bobbin, and securing attachments.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to understand sewing patterns and fabrics.
- Must have more than 2 years of experience with walking foot industrial sewing machines.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to change projects back and forth as job demands.
- Ability to perform repetitive sewing of parts that require hand dexterity and concentration on an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40lbs. comfortably
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong sewing skills and excellent hand-eye coordination
- Proficient with commercial sewing machines
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Good time management skills to meet deadlines
Experience:
- Sewing: 2 years (Preferred)
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
