About this position
Portico Benefit Services is looking for two (2) Product Specialists to be a part of our Products team. The Product Specialist plays a key role in advancing the design, evaluation, and performance of Portico’s health and retirement benefit offerings. The Product Specialist supports the day-to-day execution of product management activities and contributes to the successful delivery of the product roadmap. The Product Specialist helps ensure Portico’s health and/or retirement programs remain mission-aligned, financially sustainable, and responsive to member and employer needs.
Key Responsibilities
Product Management Support
- Coordinate daily activities between internal teams and external vendors to maintain smooth operations.
- Work closely with Operations, Brand & Customer Engagement, Business Development and Customer Care teams to ensure successful product launches and updates.
- Track timelines for product updates, enhancements, and compliance requirements.
- Support issue resolution by identifying root causes and escalating as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of product processes and workflows.
- Assist in implementing the product roadmap and ensuring timely delivery of product initiatives.
Market Research & Competitive Insights
- Conduct research on industry trends, benchmarks, and emerging innovations within the employer and faith-based benefits space.
- Synthesize competitive intelligence into actionable insights that inform product enhancements and strategy.
- Monitor regulatory and industry developments that may impact Portico’s benefit programs.
Product Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Collect and analyze data related to product performance, usage, and customer feedback.
- Prepare reports and dashboards to track KPIs and identify trends.
- Provide insights to improve product value, usability, and customer satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in testing and evaluation of new product features.
- Suggest process improvements and contribute ideas for enhancing product performance.
Qualifications
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Excel or similar analytical tools; familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI is a plus.
- Familiarity with health and/or retirement benefit programs and related regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support product decisions.
- Experience in health or retirement product management, business analysis, benefit analytics, or consulting (2+ years preferred).
- Knowledge of industry best practices, data-driven decision-making, and product lifecycle management.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics or a related field.
Experience
- 2 or more years of experience in health or retirement product management, business analysis, benefits analytics or consulting.
Starting Pay Range: $61,300 - $65,000
Worksite Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)
