Known for providing exceptional dining experiences - from intimate gatherings to large-scale private events - eden continues to grow its private dining and events program. We’re seeking a proactive, organized, and personable Private Dining Manager to lead and expand this important part of our business.
Position Overview:
The Restaurant Private Dining Manager is responsible for managing and growing eden’s private dining and events business. This is a performance-based role that combines client relationship management, event planning, and revenue accountability, with a focus on converting inquiries into booked events and cultivating repeat business. The Private Dining Manager serves as the primary point of contact for clients while working closely with internal teams to ensure every event is executed at the highest level of hospitality and service. The schedule is event-driven and includes flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to support successful event execution and guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
· Meet and strive to exceed performance expectations set by leadership, with a focus on driving private dining revenue, client satisfaction, and overall program growth.
· Oversee private dining operations from initial inquiry to event execution, ensuring seamless coordination and execution.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for private event clients, fostering strong relationships and repeat business.
· Drive private dining and event sales through client outreach, relationship building, and follow-up.
· Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement strategies to increase event bookings.
· Partner with the culinary team to design customized menus aligned with client preferences and budget.
· Handle contracts, invoicing, and negotiations for private events.
· Ensure all private dining events meet eden’s high standards of service and hospitality.
· Utilize OpenTable, Tripleseat Event Management, and Toast POS for reservations, event planning, and operational management.
· Assist with floor management duties as needed, including supervising front-of-house staff, resolving guest concerns, and supporting daily operations.
· Maintain updated systems, templates, and processes to enhance efficiency and communication within event planning.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in restaurant management, private dining, or event sales.
· Demonstrated success in increasing revenue through private dining and event sales.
· Proficiency in OpenTable, Tripleseat Event Management, and Toast POS is required.
· Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences.
· Solid knowledge of food and beverage trends and the ability to collaborate effectively with culinary teams.
· Ability to manage floor operations when necessary.
· Must hold Illinois Food Handler, BASSET, and Allergens Awareness certifications.
