JAG Interiors is a woman-owned and operated commercial interior design firm specializing in multi-family, affordable housing, and senior living communities. We partner with developers and builders to deliver thoughtful, high-impact interiors that balance creativity, functionality, and budget discipline.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer – Project Manager to lead assigned commercial interior design projects from concept through installation. This senior-level role requires strong project management skills, client-facing confidence, and the ability to mentor junior team members while maintaining design integrity and schedule accountability.
This position is part-time (approximately 24–30 hours per week) and non-exempt. Compensation is $45–$55 per hour, depending on experience. There may be opportunity for expanded hours based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead assigned commercial interior design projects from programming and concept development through construction documentation and installation
- Develop and present design concepts, finish palettes, mood imagery, and client-facing materials
- Manage project scope, budgets, and timelines within assigned workload
- Serve as primary client contact for designated projects
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, vendors, and manufacturers
- Oversee furniture plans, finish schedules, specifications, and FF&E documentation
- Collaborate with purchasing on purchase orders and delivery coordination
- Review and guide work produced by Assistant Designers
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and internal design reviews
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of commercial interior design experience
- Experience independently managing projects from concept through installation
- Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and ADA requirements
- Experience with construction documentation and contract administration
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience preferred)
- Experience with Houzz Pro or similar project management software
- Strong presentation and graphic communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Photoshop
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively within a part-time schedule
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
