Position OverviewBlauch Brothers is seeking a driven and organized Special Projects Supervisor to lead high-priority and non-routine projects that support our Service Department’s operational and strategic goals. This role oversees capital improvements, facility upgrades, equipment replacements, and operational enhancement initiatives that fall outside standard service workflows.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who can manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinate cross-functional teams, oversee contractors, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
This is a safety-sensitive leadership role requiring both office and field involvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead special projects from concept through completionDevelop project scopes, schedules, and budgetsCoordinate with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractorsMonitor jobsite progress, quality standards, and safety complianceManage project financial performance, including cost tracking and change ordersProvide regular project updates to the Service General ManagerIdentify risks and implement proactive solutionsEnsure minimal disruption to ongoing service operationsMaintain accurate project documentation and closeout materialsSupport department strategic initiatives and capital planning effortsQualifications
5+ years of experience in industrial operations, construction, service management, or project supervisionProven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong budgeting and cost-control experienceExperience overseeing subcontractors and vendorsKnowledge of HVAC, mechanical systems, industrial facilities, or construction environments preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and project management toolsStrong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong organizational and time management skillsAbility to evaluate risk and make sound decisionsFinancial acumen and budget management capabilityEffective collaboration across departmentsAbility to lead in both office and field environmentsWork Schedule
Typical schedule is Monday – Friday, 8–9.5 hours per day (averaging 43–45 hours weekly). Hours may vary based on project demands or customer needs.
