Summary/Objective
The Demand Planner creates and maintains rolling 24-month forecast models for retail customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, retailer replenishment analysts, and other sources (i.e. Circana or other syndicated consumer data). This position is located in New Holland, Pennsylvania.
Essential Functions

- Creates and maintains forecasting models incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, sales strategy, and leveraging shipment and consumption data (i.e.: Circana, customer specific portals/reporting, SPINS reports).
- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models to identify anomalies and improve accuracy.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of promotional activities (sales, marketing, media, etc.) and post-analysis of their actual yield
- Ongoing communication with sales regarding changes to promotional plans and distribution of any SKU and reflect changes within demand plan
- Coordinate cross-functionally with sales strategy and marketing organizations to reconcile variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions, including logging of key assumptions as part of IBP Demand Review.
- Develop an unconstrained, unbiased forecast of the portfolio at the SKU level within SAP APO
- Proactively inform Supply Chain of significant changes in short term horizon
- Provide information about promotional activities of the customers to Customer Service in case of product shortage to help product allocation process
- Measure and improve forecast accuracy as KPI within IBP Process
- Drive Discontinuance process

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Statistics, Information Systems, Business, or related field
- 3+ years in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics
- Excellent communication skills
