Kindle is currently looking for a new Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) who will have enterprise-wise responsibility for core FP&A functions reporting directly to the CFO. This role will provide critical support across Kindle's operations as well as FP&A expertise to external stakeholders. This position will be required to work on-site in a hybrid schedule in either Princeton, NJ or Houston, TX.

Kindle is currently looking for a new Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) who will have enterprise-wise responsibility for core FP&A functions reporting directly to the CFO. This role will provide critical support across Kindle's operations as well as FP&A expertise to external stakeholders. Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A organization of approximately six managers and analysts, fostering a culture of accountability, analytical rigor, and continuous improvement.
- Own the company's consolidated financial planning processes, including the annual budget, rolling forecasts, long-range plans, and scenario analyses at both the asset and portfolio levels.
- Establish and maintain best-in-class forecasting methodologies that incorporate operational drivers, market dynamics, commodity pricing, outages, and capital deployment.
- Serve as the primary FP&A partner to Operations, Commercial, Construction, Accounting, Treasury, and senior leadership to evaluate business performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Oversee the preparation, review, and financial narrative of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting (including quarterly FERC filings), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and decision-useful insights.
- Drive planning and business intelligence systems to maintain data integrity and support reporting on key business drivers
- Partner closely with the Commercial team on forecasting, settlements, invoicing and performance analysis related to energy sales, hedging strategies, and long-term off-take agreements.
- Coordinate with Accounting and Treasury on quarterly financial statements, liquidity forecasting, covenant compliance, and cash flow planning across project-financed and corporate structures.
- Collaborate with the CFO in preparing materials and analysis for executive management, financial sponsors, the Board of Directors, lenders, and other external stakeholders.
- Provide financial modeling and due diligence support for acquisitions, divestitures, refinancings, insurance claims, and other strategic transactions.
- Act as the primary FP&A point of contact for external advisors, including independent engineers, market consultants, lenders, and financial sponsors.
Skills and Experience Requirements:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, including at least 5 years in a people-management role leading managers and analysts.
- Prior experience in the power or broader energy sector, with a strong understanding of power plant operations, energy markets, dispatch economics, and asset-level financial drivers.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide budgeting and forecasting processes in a capital-intensive, asset-based business.
- Strong analytical judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex operational and financial data into clear, actionable insights.
- Advanced financial modeling skills and expert proficiency in Excel; experience leveraging Python or similar tools to enhance analytics, automation, or data integrity is strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage large, detailed data sets while clearly communicating conclusions to senior leadership, financial sponsors, and Board of Directors.
- Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to influence decisions, challenge assumptions, and present complex topics succinctly.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field or an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent).
- Experience with project finance structures, debt covenants, and M&A transactions is strongly preferred.

Salary Information
$220,000 - $280,000
