Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Hands on management of technical resources for internal support including hardware, software, network, and telecommunications.  
  • Identify and implement IT change initiatives in collaboration with departmental management.
  • Assists in development of information systems for manufacturing process enhancement and resolution of problems.
  • Solicits and surveys end user to determine ease of use, value and benefit of IT resource provided.
  • Effectively maintain positive relationship and communication with all levels of staff.

Essential Duties, Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Risk Management / Disaster Recovery: routine data back-up.
  • Risk Management / Disaster Recovery: back-up equipment for mission critical processes.
  • Risk Management / Disaster Recovery: user password and rights administration.
  • Risk Management / Disaster Recovery: spam and virus protection, network firewall protection.
  • Effectively manages and responds to “Help Desk” support requests, implements preventative measures.
  • Collaborates with managers and supervisors to improve the company’s return on its IT investment.
  • Effectively manages the company’s IT costs and assets and maintains appropriate software licenses.
  • Effectively plans for mid and long-term development of the company’s IT systems.
  • Develops and maintains the company’s website.
  • Effectively maintain positive relationship and communication with all levels of staff.


Requirements:

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Computer Science or Technology from four-year college or university; equivalent experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. 
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
