One of the premier medical systems in the Southeast is seeking a dedicated Hospice Physician to deliver exceptional end-of-life care in the heart of the Carolinas. Responsibilities

About the Opportunity:

  • Patient-centered care team committed to provide highest quality end-of-life care with dignity, grace, comfort, and compassion supporting the patient’s family and the patient.
  • Multidisciplinary model – collaborate with physicians, advance practitioner providers, nurses, social workers, counselors, nurse aids, chaplains, and trained volunteers.
  • 100% outpatient – conduct home and face-to-face visits in Skilled Nursing Facilities and Assisted Living Facilities in Moore and Hoke counties. Mileage reimbursement available.
  • Dependable schedule offers work-life balance … 20-30 hours per week, half-time status.

Qualifications

  • Must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with significant experience in care of adults with acute and chronic illness.
  • Board certified/Board eligible in Hospice & Palliative Medicine preferred but not required.
  • Prefer candidates with at least 5 years of experience in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
  • Clean background and NC licensure required.
  • Travel required between facilities and for home visits.
  • Desired candidates will have a strong passion for end-of-life care and be very comfortable working as in integrated member of an interdisciplinary team to achieve care goals.
