Job Overview
We are seeking an Extraction Technician to support hydrocarbon extraction production in a regulated, safety-critical manufacturing environment. This role is production-focused and involves executing established extraction procedures using closed-loop hydrocarbon systems under strict SOPs. This is not an R&D role. Consistency, safety, and procedural discipline are prioritized over experimentation or optimization.
This position is well suited for candidates with experience in regulated production, chemical processing, manufacturing, or other hazardous operational environments who value structure, clarity, and safety-first operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operate closed-loop hydrocarbon extraction and solvent recovery systems strictly according to established SOPs
Prepare and load raw material according to documented procedures
Monitor pressure, temperature, and system conditions throughout production runs
Escalate abnormalities, unsafe conditions, or uncertainty immediately
Perform routine equipment checks and approved basic troubleshooting
Accurately document runs, observations, and deviations in required logs and tracking systems
Follow all facility safety protocols related to hydrocarbons, solvents, PPE, and hazardous environments
Stop work and notify supervision when conditions appear unsafe or unclear
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant production environment
What This Role Is Not
Not an R&D position
No process experimentation during production
No independent modification of procedures
No optimization outside approved changes
No improvisation with safety systems
Qualifications
Experience working in a production, manufacturing, or regulated operational environment
Familiarity with hazardous materials, pressurized systems, or controlled processes preferred
Cannabis extraction experience is a plus but not required
Ability to follow written procedures exactly as provided
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Comfortable working under supervision and within defined roles
Willingness to ask questions, escalate issues, and stop work when appropriate
