Job Summary:
The Restaurant Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to the restaurant's menu, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. This role involves maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, following recipes and portion controls, and working closely with the kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards.
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet high standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food service.
- Monitor and control food waste and portion sizes.
- Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
- Assist with menu planning and development.
Requirements:Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
