Alliant Bank is seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Customer Service Representative/Teller to join our team. As a front-line customer service representative, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive first impression for our customers. Your responsibilities will include account and service origination and maintenance, as well as responding to customer inquiries both by telephone and in person.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Accurately record daily transactions;
- Assist customers with account inquiries, transactions, and service requests;
- Efficiently handle customer requests and resolve any issues that may arise;
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to enhance customer satisfaction;
- Identify and recommend products and services that will benefit customers; and
- Ensure compliance with all banking regulations and internal policies and procedures.
Requirements for the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- High School Diploma (associate’s degree, bachelor's degree, or an equivalent finance or banking experience preferred);
- Knowledge of banking customer service principles and processes;
- Ability to use mathematics to accurately compute routine transactions;
- Strong interpersonal skills including verbal communication and listening skills;
- Computer and technological proficiency;
- Ability to learn and use banking software;
- Critical thinking abilities; and
- Relevant experience performing clerical activities.
